Extensive media coverage of the presentation of NEUROGene profile 285®.

On October 1, 2012 it was held at the Hotel Vela in Barcelona the presentation to the press of the genetic panel NEUROGene profile 285® co-generated by the Unit investigators who have co-developed them in close collaboration with researchers of IDIBELL and the company Sistemas Genomicos, which is established in Valencia (Spain).

The genetic panel NEUROGene profile 285® is a new genetic test, developed entirely in Spain, to analyze using the sophisticated technology of mass sequencing up to 285 genes related to a wide range of neurological diseases of heterogeneous origin. This comprehensive diagnostic tool allows the analysis of genes linked to Parkinson's disease or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, the most common motor and sensory neuropathy of hereditary worldwide. It also analyzes genes associated with other more rare neurological disorders such as the hereditary ataxias, hereditary spastic paraplegias, myasthenic syndromes, myopathies, muscular dystrophies and atrophies among others.

The news appeared in most media including ABC, El Periodico, La Vanguardia, Avui, El Punt, Diario Vasco, El Faro de Vigo, etc. and on several  television News programs and radio including TVE1, Tele5, Radio National, RAC, Onda Zero, etc.
